UK – Inland Charges - Import Merchant Haulage
01 Mar 2013
Hapag-Lloyd informs about changes effective April 1, 2013.
As a result of continual increasing costs we wish to advise of the following changes to our current ETD / POD terms applicable on all UK import moves under Merchant Haulage (excluding Belfast) effective April 1, 2013:
- ETD (Equipment Transfer Destination – also known as Lo/Lo)
GBP 44.00 / 20’ container
GBP 60.00 / 40' container - POD (Repositioning Destination)
GBP 150.00 per container if redelivery of the empty container takes place at any depot in Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham. Temperature controlled containers must be returned to the Hapag-Lloyd depot nominated at time of restitution and will not be accepted into any inland depot.
We would at the same time like to remind you that as per Import Merchant Haulage tariff rules empty containers should be restituted to the port or local port area depot of container arrival. I.e. a container arriving into the port of Southampton should be restituted empty to the port or local port area depot of Southampton - as specified by Hapag-Lloyd at time of redelivery.
