Strike Situation in Port Lirquen, Chile – Iquique Terminal

03 Apr 2013

Hapag-Lloyd informs about the current situation.

Please be advised that the Port of Lirquen has been unable to operate since March 27, 2013 due to dockworkers strike. This event constitutes a Force Majeure situation, which by nature is beyond our control and forces Hapag-Lloyd and our Partner Lines to select alternative routing via port of Valparaiso for cargo originally intended for discharge in Port Lirquen.

We regret the inconvenience that these circumstances may cause. The terms of this Notice shall be read in conjunction with and without prejudice to Hapag-Lloyd’s Bill of Lading / Sea Waybill terms and conditions and the Hapag-Lloyd tariff applicable thereto.
