With effect from March 1st, 2009 the Carrier Security Fee will be increased. Please view the Customer Letter for more detailed information.
Dear Customer,
In order to continue maintaining the high standards required by ISPS (International Ship and Port facility Security) code and due to various related cost increases, a revision of the fee is needed.
Therefore with effect of March 1st 2009 the Hapag-Lloyd Carrier Security Fee (CSF) will increase as follows:
- from currently US$ 7 to US$ 8 per container
- from currently Euro 5,00 to Euro 6,00 per container
The increased Carrier Security Fee (CSF) of US$ 8 and Euro 6.00 per container continues to be payable with the ocean freight
Exceptions for Taiwan: CSF is payable prepaid for imports to Taiwan & payable collect for Exports from Taiwan.
Exceptions for Denmark: The CSF is included in Security Charge Denmark Origin (SDO) and Security Charge Denmark Destination (SDD), which will increase to DKK 85 per container for import and export cargo.
