Quality and environmental protection have always had a high priority at Hapag-Lloyd. By 1996 binding environmental guidelines were formulated and since then have been continuously renewed. In 2003, our combined quality and environmental management system was certified according to the ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) standards. Our current and future commitment to protect the environment, provide the highest service quality, and care for employees' health and safety is laid down in our Sustainability Policy.
