Seattle – Strike by Port Truckers - 5th Update

15 Feb 2012

Hapag-Lloyd provides further update on Seattle strike situation.

Further to our CustomerInfo from February 10, 2012 we would like to inform you that on Monday, February 13, there were some protests by local draymen at the Port of Seattle marine terminal and rail ramp, which affected our ability to dispatch containers on the rail. However we are glad to announce that some draymen have now returned to work and we are cautiously optimistic that the situation is improving. We continue to move all intermodal cargo with some delays, using on-dock rail operations as well as available draymen.

We will keep you updated as soon as we develop further information on the situation. In the meantime we greatly appreciate your patience and your continued support.
