Heavy Lift Charge from Indian Subcontinent (ISC) and Middle East to USA and Canada

Please be advised that Hapag-Lloyd will be applying a new Heavy Lift Surcharge (HLC) on all 20’ equipment above 18 metric tons. The HLC will be applicable from the Indian Subcontinent (ISC) and Middle East to USA and Canada as outlined below.

In compliance with the 30 days filing rule, this new surcharge will be applicable as from July 19, 2021.

The Heavy Lift Surcharge (HLC) will apply for all 20’ dry, reefer, non-operating reefer, tank, flat rack and open-top containers that have a payload above 18MTs.

HLC: USD 1400 per 20' container

Applicable origins:

Indian subcontinent:
India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Middle East:
UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia,
Jordan and Iraq.
