There’s a setback! Bookings to Bangladesh are temporarily suspended

There are some things that are out of our control. Further to our CustomerNEWS dated May 20, 2021 on booking restrictions for Bangladesh (here), we must inform you that the backlog in Singapore for cargo destined to Chittagong has increased. With this situation at hand, all bookings for cargo moving via Singapore into Bangladesh will not be possible for the next four weeks. We foresee a change of this situation by the last weeks of July, and we will ensure that we keep you updated on the developments.

With your cargo planning in mind we would like to present you with the following scenarios:

1. Cargo that has already been booked and en route will continue to be served, but we would expect changes considering the current backlog in Singapore.
   
2. Alternatively route your cargo via Colombo, where dwell times regretfully remain above 14 days.
3. If you would prefer to discuss alternative routing options, please contact your local office who are looking forward to helping you. They will ensure that you are assisted and presented with all the workable options related to your individual situation.

Please know that this situation is not permanent and that we will keep you updated on any further changes pertaining to booking restrictions for Bangladesh and once the situation is overcome.
