In August, Hapag-Lloyd launched Quick Quotes – an online quotation tool which enables customers to access real time rates with a few easy clicks. In this Interview Ece Senel, Coordinator Sales Steering Area Turkey, shares her experiences with this online quotation tool.
What do you think about Quick Quotes? How have your experiences been so far?
I must admit that, at the beginning of the project, it was a challenge to introduce Quick Quotes to the market. It was a new tool and customers wondered whether it really does deliver the best price or routing. What’s more, many customers still like the old-school negotiation and human contact.
However, customers started having confidence in our online application and are gradually using Quick Quotes more and more. On our side, from the very beginning, we have worked hard to improve the Quick Quotes experience day by day, identifying potential challenges and finding the best possible solutions.
What are the benefits of using Quick Quotes?
The best thing is that we are providing such a good and fast service to our customers. The tool allows them to get a quotation instantly and they can do so 24/7. It’s really easy to use, has a simple design, and includes all the necessary information.
From a Sales perspective, we now have more time to reach out to our customers and get their feedback on Quick Quotes so we can continuously improve the tool.
What kind of feedback are you getting about Quick Quotes from customers?
Their feedback has been very positive, and it has mainly been about the system’s speed and ease-of-use. Customers are impressed because Quick Quotes is giving them quotes 24/7, very fast and without requiring any email correspondence or phone calls.
What are the questions they ask most about Quick Quotes?
Some clients are questioning whether Quick Quotes is really offering them the most competitive rate and we are happy to ensure them that it does.
Other customers are a little skeptical whether they can still reach a sales representative whenever they want. Of course, our sales and customer service teams continue to serve our customers. Customers can always reach out to us and we will be happy to support.
