South Africa Import: Release requirements

For prompt processing of your import cargo release in South Africa, please note the following mandatory requirements.

• All release documentation including, but not limited to, Original Bill of Lading, Release Letter, SAR’s release notification, Cargo dues, Payment and Delivery Instruction need to be submitted no later than the close of business the day of vessel arrival.
• Merchant Haulage delivery instructions must detail the inland transporter name.
• Carrier Haulage delivery instructions must detail the delivery address, delivery date, contact name and telephone number.

To avoid rejection of documentation and release delays, please adhere to the above requirements.
