Cuba - Implementation of SUD surcharge

To maintain reliable service and shipment quality for cargo destined to Cuba amid ongoing operational disruptions and rising operating costs, a new charge code SUD (Empty Return Compensation) will be implemented.

This surcharge will apply to all import shipments discharged in Cuba, effective March 1, 2026 and is valid until further notice.

The details of this surcharge are listed below:

  • EUR 100 per 20' dry container
  • EUR 200 per 40' dry container
  • EUR 200 per 40' reefer container
  • SUD is a prepaid surcharge
