Here's an update on B1 terminal congestion in Laem Chabang

Asia Thailand

With your cargo planning in mind, we would like to provide you with an update on the ongoing congestion at Laem Chabang, Thailand Port’s B1 Terminals. Operational constraints continue to impact yard capacity, terminal productivity, and gate turnaround times. We understand the challenges this may cause and appreciate your continued understanding as we work to alleviate the situation.

We remain committed to supporting your cargo needs and are actively collaborating with terminal authorities to implement effective solutions. Our efforts include optimizing rail and barge utilization, as well as expediting the clearance of long-dwelling import containers.

To ensure transparency and support your cargo planning, we are pleased to provide the following updates:

  • To improve operations at Laem Chabang’s B1 Terminal, we are working to limit waiting times to a maximum of 5 hours for both export (return of laden containers) and import (pickup of laden containers).
  • We kindly ask all customers to collect their import containers as early as possible to ease yard congestion and support terminal productivity.

We remain dedicated to resolving these challenges and will continue to provide you with weekly updates on the progress. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your ongoing support.
