Incomplete Shipping Instruction submission for UK & Ireland

To ensure timely and efficient processing of your cargo, please note that all shipping instructions for cargo originating from the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland must be received by our office prior to the documentation cut off.

Please ensure that the following mandatory data requirements are provided, failure to provide the following items will result in your shipping instruction being rejected and a new instruction with all the required information must be provided via your usual chanel.

1. Shipper and consignee addresses (including full contact details and contact of notify party in applicable)

2. Country-Specific Customs References (applicable tax ID, company registration number, CNPJ number, ACID number, or waiver reference)

3. Load point, port of loading & discharge, delivery place (if applicable).

4. Complete cargo description: Including:

  • * Piece count.
  • * Weight.
  • * Volume (for mandatory countries).
  • * Complete cargo description adequate for customs submission.
  • * Note: Generic descriptions, cargo values, technical or brand names (unless accompanied by a simplified description) are not permitted.

5. HS code: In 6-digit format (XX XX XX).

6. Seal Number(s).

7. Charges breakdown: Full description of who is paying the inland pre-carriage (if applicable), origin port, sea freight, destination port, and inland on-carriage (if applicable) costs.

Additional Requirements for EU and US Customs:

* For EU Customs:

  • + EORI number of self-filer
  • + True shipper and consignee for Hapag-Lloyd to complete the filing.
  • + Master bill containing the true shipper and consignee.

* For US Customs:

  • + SCAC code of self-filer.
  • + True shipper and consignee for Hapag-Lloyd to complete the filing.
  • + Master bill containing the true shipper and consignee.
