Our smart container fleet takes your tracking experience to a new level: Live Position enables you to track your container in real-time throughout the entire journey. From ship to rail to truck – benefit from full visibility no matter which mode of transport is used. The data is based on smart IoT devices which are attached to the respective container and track the exact position.
Live Position is currently only available for containers that are equipped with an IoT smart device but it is being steadily expanded and we expect the majority of the fleet to be equipped by the end of 2023. Apart from container location it is being considered in future to provide additional data such as predictive ETAs. Live Position is accessible through the Tracking application in the Online Business Suite. An indicator shows you when Live Position is available for your container.
