Ghana – Implementation of Cargo Tracking Notes (CTN)

Following the decree by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) as per ref: 005 / 18, dated February 12, 2018 (document attached), we would like to draw your attention to the implementation of CTN (Cargo Tracking Notes) for all shipments entering Ghana, effective March 1, 2018.

The CTN process and supply of information as well as supporting documents on the global online platform is the sole responsibility of Shipper / Exporter / Forwarder at Port of Loading.

Authorities are requesting the following documentation:

1. A copy of the Pre-Validated CTN Certificate must be attached to the shipping instructions.
   
2. Complying to insert the valid CTN number (from the Pre-Validated CTN Certificate) on the B/L and manifest; and populating it on all shipping documents.
