PN2 Pacific Northwest Loop 2 – MOL Prestige voyage 48w

Owners of the vessel “MOL Prestige” have reported that on January 29, 2018 the vessel departed the port of Vancouver destined for the port of Tokyo and while in transit, a fire broke out in the engine room of the vessel.
The below is the latest information as reported by the vessel owners on Friday evening:

• All crew on board are reported safe.
• The fire is confirmed extinguished. The extent of damage to the engine room is still being assessed.
• Contingency tug has been arranged and dispatched for towing back to the nearest North American port.
