Germany – Release and Positioning Instructions for Imports

We are continuously working on improvements to our services and would like to draw your attention to the following aspects, which enable us to meet the operational requirements for high quality processing of your import shipments.
We kindly ask you to submit your detailed instructions at least three business days prior to arrival of the vessel in the respective Port of Discharge, deadline is 14:30hrs on final day.
In case of upcoming holidays (e.g. Christmas, Easter holidays) we strongly recommend to submit your detailed instructions as soon as possible, at least five business days prior to arrival of the vessel in the respective Port of Discharge, deadline is 14:30hrs on final day. This will ensure all processes in a timely manner.

Merchant’s Haulage
In order to avoid delays and related costs e.g. Demurrage, we have to rely on the timely submission of your complete release instructions.
Please submit your instructions with following details: payer for collect revenues, preferred empty return depot and planned drop off date (+/- one day).

Carrier’s Haulage
Whether you would like to add a carrier’s haulage or your contract of carriage contains a designated place of delivery already, we would like to ask you to submit your detailed positioning instructions before arrival of the vessel in the respective port of discharge containing the following information:

  • complete positioning address, including the name of the company, city and postal code, street name and house no.
  • required positioning date / required positioning times
  • specified information regarding the customs clearance
  • if a T1-document should be issued, please provide the following details:
    - cargo description in German
    - customs tariff no. / ZTN
    - cargo value in Euro currency
    - T1 receiver
    - responsible customs office
    - whether a customs authorized/approved consignee/receiver is involved or not
    - the approval number of the approved receiver
  • special requirements for the positioning (i.e. special chassis type, etc.)
