Thailand - Revision of Equipment Maintenance Fee (EMF)

We would like to inform you that with effect from August 1, 2019, Hapag-Lloyd will revise the Equipment Maintenance Fee (EMF) charge to cover all repair charges under THB 5,000 per container. Any repair charges exceeding THB5,000 per container will be collected from customer separately with the actual exceeded amount.

Based on the commodities, EMF will be separated into 2 groups as follows:

Equipment Maintenance Fee 20’GP (in THB)   40’GP/HC (in THB)   45’GP/HC (in THB)   20’OT/FR (in THB)   40’OT/FR (in THB)

Group 1: applies for general cargo

Group 2: applies for special cargo, such as; Wooden plank, Wooden sheet, Log, Steel coil, Steel plate, Machinery, Metal block, Aluminum ingot, Fertilizer, Feed mill, Leather, Raw hide , Fluff pulp, Poultry meat, Rough marble block, Oriented strand board, Hydrolyzed Protein of Porcine, Porcine meat and bone meal, Marble slab, Soda ash. EMF is differentiated by HS code.
