Africa Hinterland – Additional Charges for door delivery to Kigali, Rwanda

Please note that in order to combat the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Rwanda would not allow all Tanzanian trucks into Rwanda. This would require all cargo and conveyors bound for delivery to Kigali to be offloaded at the Rusumo Customs Border Post and local Rwandan truck to be arranged for on-carriage to destination.

This restriction by the Government of Rwanda took effect from April 27, 2020 and had resulted into additional charges for all containers as per below.

• Lift on/off for 20FT: USD 64.5
• Lift on/off for 40FT: USD 97.5

The above charges would be applicable for all the shipments bound to Kigali door delivery with Hapag-Lloyd from May 12, 2020 until further notice.
