Ghana - Temporary Ban on Poultry and Poultry Products

Please be informed that the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Ghana has announced a ban on the importation of day old chicks, hatching eggs, frozen chicken, poultry products and poultry feed with immediate effect.

The ban affects the above commodities from the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

According to the ministry all import permits that were issued for such consignment from these countries have been rendered invalid with immediate effect.
