Please be informed that the Navigation Authority of Three Gorges has confirmed maintenance plan for Three Gorges North Ship Lock and Gezhou Dam No.2 ship Lock. Maintenance will commence on March 16, 2021 for a period of approximately 32 days. During this period, there would be an impact on the capacity and efficiency in the upper Yangtze River areas including Chongqing, Luzhou, Wanzhou, Fuling, and Yibing.

Detailed project period as follows:

(A) Three Gorges North Line Ship Lock: In order to minimize the impact from the ship lock overhaul process, and to consider the difficulties of construction during the Spring Festival as well as the economy along the Yangtze River, the construction is scheduled to begin from 08:00 AM on 16th March, 2021 with total 35 days as planned.

(B) Gezhou Dam No. 2 Ship Lock: The overhaul time of the Gezhou Dam No. 2 Lock will begin from 08:00 AM on 16th March, 2021 with total 32 days as scheduled.

Based on past maintenances works during the low water season with feeder tonnage reduction and dwell time at Shanghai, a delay of feeder schedule during the construction/maintenance time period this year would be foreseeable.

Therefore, please inform your counterparts or business partners to make necessary arrangements for your shipments. We will keep you informed should there be any updates.
