Here's an update on Operational Interruptions at Vancouver, Canada - update 4

Here is the latest update to the recent events that have impacted transportation into and out of Vancouver: Rail and road operations servicing the Port of Vancouver remain impacted by the recent flooding in British Columbia. Progress to restore main routes to the Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley regions has been made.

Roads:
Highway 3: Re-opened for essential travel only.
Highways 7, 99: Open for essential travel only.
Highway 5: Closed (long term).

Rail:
One of the rail links to/from Vancouver was restored in the late morning of Tuesday November 23, 2021. It is expected that a 2nd link will be up and running by the morning of Wednesday, November 24. In both cases, speed and length restrictions will be in place for the foreseeable future.
Service expectations next week: Train operational fluidity to improve next week.

CP Rail - all ramps:
CP accepting dry export traffic to Centerm/Vanterm/Deltaport Port Terminals from all inland rail terminals (not accepting for DPW Fraser Surrey Port Terminal). Vancouver Intermodal Terminal (VIF) remains closed for gate traffic until further notice.

CN Rail - all ramps:
Full and empty containers to be accepted in the following order:
Tuesday, November 23: Joliet, IL / Indianapolis, IN / Chippewa Falls, MN / Arcadia, WI
Wednesday, November 24: Detroit, MI / Chicago, IL / Memphis, TN

Note: CN is reviewing acceptance of export traffic at Canadian origins and will provide an update on Wednesday, November 24.

Port of Vancouver:
Vessel delays, increased yard congestion and heightened anchorage demand are expected to continue.

GCT Delta Port Terminal:

- The majority of vessel operations have been idled until further notice.
- No local export receiving until further notice.
- Import CY gate remains open.
- Limited export receiving. Vessel operations planned to resume late this week.
- Operational fluidity expected to improve moving into next week.

DP World Fraser Surrey:

- Limited operations.
- Operational fluidity expected to improve moving into next week.
