Shipping to South Africa? There are surcharges coming up

A Congestion Surcharge (CGD) is coming into effect from all origins, except for ports located in mainland China*, to South Africa. This CGD is applicable for all dry containers gated in from December 8, 2023 until further notice.

The details for this CGD are listed below:

• 20' Dry Container: USD 200
• 40' Dry Container: USD 400
• 40' High Cube Container: USD 400
• CGD is a prepaid surcharge

For your reference, the geographical scope of this CGD is explained below:

• From all ports and countries, except for ports located in mainland China
• To all ports in South Africa

*In connection to the ports located in mainland China, a Peak Season Surcharge will be in effect. This PSS will apply to all dry containers gated in from December 8, 2023 until further notice.

• 20' Dry Container: USD 200
• 40' Dry Container: USD 400
• 40' High Cube Container: USD 400
• The PSS is a prepaid surcharge
