Unite for Pride: Hapag-Lloyd celebrates diversity at Christopher Street Day Parade in Hamburg

More than 200,000 people celebrated the Christopher Street Day (CSD) Parade in Hamburg to demonstrate for diversity and tolerance for the LGBTQ+ community. For the second time, Hapag-Lloyd participated in the parade, this year under the motto “Unite for Pride”. A cheerful crowd of 100 employees and their families as well as members of our Pride@Hapag-Lloyd network from around the globe joined the branded Hapag-Lloyd truck. For one week – until yesterday - Hapag-Lloyd hoisted the rainbow flag on the roof the Ballindamm building.

Supported by the DJ duo MattNautique, our Hapag-Lloyd float, a 16-meter-long truck moved through the city center and showed Hapag-Lloyd’s commitment for diversity, tolerance and acceptance. Lots of applause, cheering and singing was the response of the more than 200,000 bystanders in the streets, who were supporting the cheerful and colorful Hapag-Lloyd team.
