USA Exports via Canada - Cross-border Rail

Effective as from Tuesday, September 8, 2020, we will no longer provide the Earliest Receiving Date (ERD) or Last Receiving Date (LRD) for cargo moving via rail from USA origins via Canada load ports.

Dry container ERD is four days (rail ramp working days) including cargo cut-off day.
Reefer ERD is three days (rail ramp working days) including cargo cut-off day.

Please ensure that your Motor Carrier is checking the rail website for ERD details.
Containers delivered to the ramp too early are subject to storage and demurrage charges, which are for the merchant’s account.

Moving with CPR (Canadian Pacific Rail)


Please send in the rail billing form to qscrail@hlag.com at least two hours prior to delivering the container to the ramp. If any issues please contact during business hours +1 855-227-4612, Option 4.

Cut-offs must be verified at CPR's port schedule using the following link:
https://www.cpr.ca/en/customer-resources/port-schedules

Moving with CNR (Canadian National Rail)

Please send in the rail billing form to qscrail@hlag.com at least three hours prior to delivering the container to the ramp. If any issues please contact during business hours +1 855-227-4612, Option 4.
