We would like to provide you with the following information, as informed by the New Orleans Port Authority:
Power has been restored to the Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal and container cranes will be ready for vessel operations on Tuesday, September 7.
The safety zone has been rescinded and the Mississippi River is open through to MM 167.5 with guidelines in place and restrictions to daylight hours for deep-draft vessels.
Container terminal operations
New Orleans Terminal OPEN with preparation to open a limited* gate on TUESDAY, September 7th.
Ports America OPEN with preparation to open a limited* gate on TUESDAY, September 7th.

Breakbulk terminal operations
Coastal Cargo - OPEN
Gulf Stream Marine - OPEN
Ports America (breakbulk only) - OPEN
Empire - plans to OPEN Tuesday, September 7th.
Rail Operations
NOPB Rail operations have RESUMED with modified hours of operations between 7:00 am – 11:00 pm to connect with BNSF, CN, CSX, KCS, NS, and UP. NOPB operations will be shut down on Monday 9/6/2021 and resuming to 7:00 am – 11:00 pm on Tuesday 9/7/2021 until further notice.
