Shipping from Kenya? Here’s our updated booking process

Each day, we work towards keeping our Quality Promise: Loaded as Booked. Thinking about your cargo planning, we will be implementing a booking validity/deadline for collecting empty containers for your bookings shipping from Kenya.

This updated booking process will be effective as of October 1, 2021:

It is important that the all “Confirmed” booking(s) are required to have the empty containers collected from our depots and be linked to those respective booking(s) at least three (3) days prior to the vessel’s Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA).

As a process we also remind our customers five (5) days prior to the vessel’s ETA with an email in case the empty unit has not been picked up.

If there were any issues such as challenges for empty(s) pick up, booking(s) linking to “Shipper’s Owned” container(s), or any other assistance, please contact us with the specifics three (3) days prior to the vessel’s ETA at the latest.

The booking(s) are considered as “No-show” and are cancelled automatically with no further notification by Hapag-Lloyd two (2) days prior to the vessel’s ETA if no empty(s) have been picked up and thereby linked to them.
