Dangerous Goods restriction on our VIS Service to Ho Chi Minh, VN

From July 1, 2024, Dangerous Goods (DG) will be prohibited for discharge at Cat Lai (Chi Minh Terminal Matchcode CATLAI 2). If you're shipping with our VIS service, please note that DG cargo with port of discharge in Ho Chi Minh (CATLAI 2) will therefore not be processed. Alternatively you can choose from the following routes via Vung Tau, VN and arrange barging at other inland container depots:

  • SPITC port (MC SPITC 001): 9 km far from Cat Lai.
  • Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc (MC TCHP 001): 22 km far from Cat Lai.
  • Phuoc Long 3 (MC ICDPHU 002): 13 km far from Cat Lai.
  • Binh Duong port (MC BINHDU 006): 22 km far from Cat Lai.
  • Dong Nai port (MC ICDDON 001): 22 km far from Cat Lai.

  • Brisbane (DP Worls): Waiting time 0 to 119 hours due to vessel bunching and bad weather conditions.

Booking Cancellation Fee in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan

Here's an update on the booking cancellation policy with effect from January 10, 2025 until February 16, 2025.

Booking cancellation fee policy

  1. Effective date based on booking cancellation request date.
  2. Quick Quotes Spot Booking Cancellation fee rule remains unchanged.
  3. Booking Cancellation Fee is applicable to booking cancelled within 3 calendar days prior to ETD of the first intended vessel for all trades excluding Intra Asia (Short Sea), Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Oceania from January 10, 2025 until February 16, 2025.  This measure is based on the time booking cancellation request is submitted.
  4. For Intra Asia (Short Sea) trade, booking cancellation fee will not be applicable.
  5. For Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Oceania trade Booking Cancellation Fee rule remains unchanged.
  6. Booking cancellation fee amount remains unchanged based on the product, please refer to our tariff for more details.

Booking Cancelation Fee Applicable Scenarios:

  • Cancelation request submitted on January 15, 2025, Vessel ETD January 18, 2025. Trades: All trades excluding Intra Asia (Short Sea), Middle East and Oceania. 3 days' difference. Cancelation fee applicability: YES - cancelation within 3 days of ETD (excluding ETD date).
  • Cancelation request submitted on January 15, 2025, Vessel ETD January 22, 2025. Trades: Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Oceania. 7 days' difference. Cancelation fee applicability: YES - cancelation within 7 days of ETD (excluding ETD date).

Booking Cancelation Fee Not Applicable Scenarios:

  • Cancelation request submitted on January 15, 2025, Vessel ETD January 19, 2025. Trades: All trades excluding Intra Asia (Short Sea), Middle East and Oceania. 4 days' difference. Cancelation fee applicability: NO - cancelation more than 3 days before ETD (excluding ETD date).
  • Cancelation request submitted on January 15, 2025, Vessel ETD January 23, 2025. Trades: Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Oceania. 8 days' difference. Cancelation fee applicability: NO - cancelation more than 7 days before ETD (excluding ETD date).

If you are shipping from Pearl River Delta (PRD) or Yangtze River Delta (YRD), please note the following:

  • The calculation rule is based on the Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) of the first intended vessel in the booking confirmation.
  • The Booking Cancellation Fee (FIO) is not applicable if there is a change of feeder vessel schedule. The policy remains unchanged for mainline vessels' schedules. (Excluding Quick Quotes Spot booking)
  • The booking cancellation fee amount and general conditions remains unchanged based on the product, please refer to our tariff for more details.

Please find below the list of locations with the number of days for empty container pick up before the vessel FCL cut-off time at the origin port. This measure is effective from January 10, 2025 until February 16, 2025. for all ports in China and Hong Kong.

Gate out empty (GOMT) are 10, or 14 days before the FCL cut-off time, including the day of the cut-off (as per FCL delivery cut-off time in latest booking confirmation).
Eg:  If the FCL cut-off is on January 28, 2025, empty release starts from January 15, 2025 for 40HC pick up in Shanghai Port

Booking window for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan

If you're shipping from Mainland China and Hong Kong, now you will be able to book during or post Chinese New Year sailings on vessels. This booking window expansion will be valid immediately until further notice.

Booking Window Periods: 6 Jan 2025 onwards: 56 days rule (8 weeks)
