  • July 19, 2024 | Major IT Outage Linked to Crowdstrike Causes Global Disruptions. Affected terminals are recovering. No effect to internal systems in Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Guatemala Terminal Invoicing: From June 1, 2024, APM terminals will be invoicing import storage directly for all cargo at the terminal.

South America East Coast Service (SEC

Remark: 

All SEC vessels will slide by one week at Santos southbound, started from Monte Verde V.418S

  • Monte Verde will keep the same voyage number V.421N, due to short notice
  • Starting voyage number change from Long Beach Express V.422N –> V.423N

Phase-in / Phase-out:

  • MV Long Beach Express 427S / 421N will be replaced by MV Suape Express at USEC beginning of July.
    • Long Beach Express is planned to phase out at Charleston July 8, 2024. Omitting USJAX and USPEF import calls.
    • Long Beach Express will be positioned to CGX service (August 13, 2024 at Yantian, CN). On her way she will call DOCAU to load empty equipment to Asia.
  • Suape Express will phase-in at New York, US July 2, 2024 covering the entire USEC export rotation.

Congestion:

Due to port congestion at USCHS causing a 7-9 day waiting time, it has been decided to divert 3 vessels/calls to USSAV to reduce delays.

Vessels diverting to USSAV:

  • SUAPE EXPRESS V.427S
  • MONTE OLIVIA V.424N/428S

USCHS import cargo will be discharged at USSAV.
Vessels will take on export cargo at USSAV. Cut off dates will be advised as soon as they are available.

USCHS calls will resume from MV MAERSK MONTE AZUL V425N/429S

Here's an update on payment terms for your shipments to and from Argentina

With your cargo planning in mind, please be informed about the latest developments in the payment modality for imports and exports to and from Argentina. Please take note of the following changes:

Import Shipments:

  • From May 19, 2023, import shipments to Argentina must be paid at the origin (prepaid modality).
    This change is due to recent foreign exchange market regulations.

Export Shipments:

  • From June 12, 2023, all export shipments from Argentina will accept payments at the destination country (collect modality).

This measure is in line with the updated foreign exchange market regulations.
