Surcharges

China – Revision of Terminal Handling Charges

We wish to inform you that the Terminal Handling Charges (THC) for all Mainland China ports will change. Effective as of May 1, 2018 and valid until further notice the THC for all Mainland China ports will be adjusted by the following quantum:

All Trades May 1, 2018 until further notice
Adjustment of THC Quantum All 20’ Container Types All 40’ Container Types
All Mainland China Port Locations   Less CNY 53 Less CNY 106

For details of the new THC quantum, please refer to our public tariffs available on Hapag-Lloyd website (https://www.hapag-lloyd.com/en/online-business/tariffs/trade-surcharges.html).

The THC will apply for all trades, including trades to and from Europe. The Ocean Tariff rates as well as Bunker-related surcharges, Security-related surcharges, Peak Season surcharges (if applicable) and other THCs remain unchanged respectively as announced and can be found here.

Other local charges and contingency surcharges may apply in addition.
