Portugal - Stevedores Strike at the Port of Lisbon

In view of the recent action from the Lisbon Stevedores Union to do a full stoppage in Lisbon port with a strike, we would like to provide you with the following details:

Currently the strike is announced till March 30, 2020 - 8.00 am. The strike began February 19 with partial work from stevedores (one shift only) and since February 29 the operations at the terminal completely stopped.

The strike affects only the Port of Lisbon

Leixões and Sines ports are working normally

Cargoes previously loaded/unloaded in Lisbon can be loaded through Leixões port by rail with additional costs. Please contact your local office or Sales representative if you have any questions or concerns.
