Mexico – Revised Inland Tariff

We would like to inform you that effective August 1st, 2021 Hapag-Lloyd Mexico will revise the Mexico import and export inland tariff.

Under the tariff, we offer “in Tandem” movements (one truck, 2 containers), and if necessary a single movement (one container per truck). Should a single movement be requested, an additional charge of 60% on top of the new inland tariff rate will apply under the following codes:

Exports: ITO (Inland transport add. Origin)
Imports: ITD (Inland transport add. Destination)

The single movement offer is subject to truck availability, route and container type. The service request must be submitted with a minimum of 72 hours in advance.

Regarding chassis free time for loading/unloading cargo at customer facility, we have also reviewed terms and conditions and announced on June 17, as follows:

  • Normal service increase chassis detention fee for dry cargo after 12 free hours from USD 125 per chassis/container to 175 USD per chassis/container each add 6 hours or fraction thereof
  • Normal service increase chassis detention fee for reefer after 12 hours from USD 125 per chassis/container to 225 USD per chassis/container
  • Premium service for dry boxes increase fee from 125 USD after 6 hours free time per chassis/container to 175 USD per chassis/container
  • Premium service for reefer boxes increase fee from 125 USD after 6 hours free time per chassis/container to 225 USD per chassis/container
  • Local moves after 6 hours free at 125 USD per box to be increased to 175 USD for next period after free time (no reefers available)

Therefore our Premium Service product specification will be updated according to the previous conditions and terms.
