Here’s a reminder on the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug seasonal requirements
The Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs (BMSB) present a risk for agriculture and horticulture in both Australia and New Zealand. Therefore, the Australian Department of Agriculture and the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries have issued revised BMSB fumigation measures and requirements.
For your reference, the seasonal measures apply to goods shipped from target risk countries to New Zealand or Australia within the period of September 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024, including both dates. The shipped on board date will be the indicator of the date in which the goods were shipped.
The following countries have been categorized as risk countries. Two additional countries marked with (*) have been added as emerging risk countries:

Although New Zealand and Autralia are aligned in terms of risk countries, treatments, and approved treatment providers, there are a few differences that should be noted. Therefore, if you are shipping goods into New Zealand and Australia, please make sure that you are familiarized with the specific requirements.

Please keep in mind that a BMSB fumigation certificate sumbission before loading will be mandatory for high-risk containers, special equipment like open tops, flat racks and breakbulk cargo, in line with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources requirements. If the fumigation certificate is not presented, it will regretfully lead to containers not being loaded.
Please note that fumigation is the responsibility of cargo interests. The requirement for fumigation extends to cargo loaded in consolidated shipments as well as for full container loads. Any dry units without a BMSB certificate will require fumigation in Australia and will be for the account of the consignee as well as any demurrage or detention costs resulting from this.
