Shipping from India to Kenya and Tanzania? An EIS is coming up

An Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EIS) is coming up. The EIS will apply from all ports in India to all ports in Tanzania and Kenya from August 12, 2024, and will be valid until further notice. 

The details for the EIS are listed below:

• 20' container: USD 500
• 40' container: USD 750
• Applies to all dry equipment
