As it is very important to us what our customers think of our products and how they help them in their daily business, we spoke with Serhat Nusret Oral, Import Director at NMT Logistics about his experience with Quick Quotes. Mr. Oral, can you please briefly describe your business and your role in the company?
NMT Logistics, founded in 2007, is a company offering logistics services, such as LCL (less container loading), project cargo, container selling, Out of Gauge, trucking, airfreight and other services in the area of supply chain management and international transportation.
I work as Import Director at NMT Logistics. As a logistics company, we serve our customers by meeting all their needs to make their work easier. Our target is to offer our customers full logistics solution.
How do you usually get freight rates from carriers? What are the main challenges in this process?
Generally, we get freight quotations via email. The ‘ask and wait’ process is the complete opposite of today's fast moving logistics environment. We believe that our customers need different solutions for their logistics requirements. Getting the quotation in seconds with Quick Quotes along with all details is totally meeting those needs.
What is your experience with Hapag-Lloyd’s Quick Quotes? What were your initial thoughts when it first launched?
I must admit that Hapag-Lloyds’s Quick Quotes is one of the best quotation tools in the market. In the beginning, I was quite skeptical whether the rates would be in line with the market or not. Or how much time will it take after we enter the required data. Will we have to wait in order to get the prices and details?

How do you use Quick Quotes in your daily business and especially in challenging times like these?
We always do a check with Quick Quotes to compare the rate level when we receive a request from our customers and we can revert within a few minutes. It even assists us to understand and compare the market levels and conditions.
Due to COVID-19 outbreak, all employees at NMT Logistics are working from home and hence we need coordination more than ever. Following up on price lists from different carriers is not an easy task in this time while you have to respond to your customers’ needs.
Despite these challenges, we are certain that we can continue to rely on Hapag-Lloyd’s Quick Quotes tool and that we will get market-level prices reliably and quickly even during this time.
How do you think Quick Quotes will assist you in growing your business in the future?
Due to very dynamic market conditions, having such asset enables us to reduce the response time to our customers with market levels and helps us to access new markets.

It would be great if we could have the long-term pricing and Out of Gauge shipment quotations via Quick Quotes.
