In view of the current COVID-19 situation and the resulting low market demand we will implement the following service changes on the Transpacific and ISC/Middle East – North America services for the upcoming weeks:
East Coast Services (EC)
The EC3 service will be suspended as from week 14 until week 26. The first official EC3 voyage will start in week 27:
In order to maintain sufficient port coverage we will maintain a modified EC1 service until week 26 with the following rotation:
Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Shanghai (YAN) – Pusan – Tokyo – Manzanillo – Savannah – Jacksonville – Charleston – Norfolk - Manzanillo – Balboa – Tokyo – Kobe – Xiamen
Cargo originally planned for the new EC3 service will be covered by the above modified EC1 service and/or switched to EC2. Both EC1 and EC2 will start in line with our new Transpacific 2020 Product in week 14 ex Asia.
West Coast Services (PNW)
The following sailings will be blanked:
Additionally, both PN3 and PN4 will be blanked at the same time every second week:
The weeks in between will be performed as planned.
The following service options can be offered as an export alternative out of Asia:
- PN3 cargo ex Yantian can be switched to PN2
- PN4 cargo ex Ningbo can be switched to PN1
- Cargo from Qingdao / Shanghai / Hong Kong / Pusan can be rolled to the next available PN3 / PN4 vessel.
West Coast Services (PSW)
The PS5 service will be suspended as from week 15 until week 26. The next available PS5 voyage will start in week 27:
The following service options can be offered as an export alternative out of Asia:
- Cargo ex Shanghai can be switched to PS8
- Cargo ex Ningbo can be switched to PS6
Both PS6 and PS8 will be operated as planned on a weekly basis.
Additionally, both PS3 and PS4 will be blanked on an alternating basis every second week:
The following service options can be offered as an export alternative out of Asia:
- Kaohsiung will be added to each PS3 sailing when PS4 is blanked
- Cargo ex Singapore, Cai Mep, Hong Kong & Yantian can be switched to PS7
- Cargo ex Port Kelang / Haiphong / Keelung will be rolled to the next vessel.
ISC/Middle East – North America services
The following sailings will be blanked:
In addition to the above adjustments other schedule changes are being reviewed to ensure that capacity availability continues to be aligned with cargo demand.
