Heavy Lift Charge Season Surcharge – China to Arabian Gulf and Red Sea

We would like to inform you that Hapag-Lloyd will adjust the Heavy Lift Charge (HLC) on the westbound trade from China (including Hong Kong and Macau) to the Arabian Gulf and Red Sea (including Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Yemen).

This charge will be applicable to all sailings commencing on August 1, 2021 onwards and valid until further notice.

Please note the details for the HLC:

• USD 150 per 20' container exceeding 15 tons gross weight

For your reference, the geographical scope of the HLC is listed as follows:

• Arabian Gulf: Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates
• Red Sea: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Yemen.
