Here's your Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa operational overview for week 45

The container shipping industry is never static. Here are the latest operational updates for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. You can also get an overview of more operational updates here.

Middle East – India – Africa Express Service (MIAX)

  • MV X-press Karakoram V2137E will omit Cape Town and Durban in South Africa, as well the Apapa and Tin Can in Nigeria, for schedule recovery measures.
  • MV Chesapeake Bay V2134E will omit Apapa, Nigeria, for schedule recovery measures.  Imports will be discharged in Tema for further connection to their final ports of destination.
  • MV NYK Paula V2139E will omit Tin Can, Nigeria for schedule recovery measures.  Imports will be discharged in Tema for further connection to their final ports of destination.

South Africa Express (SAX)

  • There was no sailing from London Gateway, United Kingdom (Southbound) on October 30, 2021 and from Durban, South Africa (Northbound) which was planned to call on December 2, 2021.  Majority of the vessels schedules will be adjusted by 1 week due to this change.

West Europe – West Africa Service (WWA)

  • MV Niledutch Antwerpen V1423N omitted Sogester Terminal in Luanda, Angola for schedule recovery.

Indamex 2 (IN2)

  • MV Nordspring V004E will leave the service in Port Qasim, Pakistan which is expected to call on January 28, 2022.

West Africa Express (WAX)

  • There was no sailing from Antwerp, Belgium (Southbound) on November 1, 2021, and from Tema, Ghana (Northbound) which was planned to call on November 21, 2021.  Because of this change, MV Martha A V2144S will arrive Antwerp, Belgium on November 8, 2021 and Tema, Ghana on November 28, 2021.

Transpacific – East Coast Loop 5 (EC5)

  • MV Hyundai Faith V097E will omit Colombo, Sri Lanka for schedule recovery measures.

Indian Ocean Service (IOS)

  • MV Prague Express 1349W will omit Nhava Sheva and Hazira in India for schedule recovery measures.  Imports will be discharged in Jebel Ali, UAE for further connection to their final ports of destination.

Asia – West Africa Service (AWA)

  • There will be no sailing from Qingdao, China on November 21, 2021 (Westbound) and from Pointe Noire, Congo on December 30, 2021 (Eastbound).
  • MV Maersk Sofia V143E will omit Cape Town, South Africa for schedule recovery measures.
