In previous days we published in our Operational Updates that APM Terminals in Puerto Quetzal experienced a general system outage.
Due to this, all the activities are being carried out manually with delays in container entry and retrieval. This is affecting to all carriers calling APM.
This is also affecting the trucking availability due to long waiting times outside the Port Terminal. We anticipate that this situation will extend for the next 2-3 weeks as per APM terminal expectations.
Though this is out of our control, we are working on alternative solutions to improve the response times either with berthing prospect at APM or EPQ and/or assigning the trucks as soon as possible.
We regret any inconveniences that this would cause you and your business and thank you for your understanding. We appreciate if you can also assist to improve the local situation and do your best to prioritize the Direct Dispatch of your cargo in order to reduce the port congestion.
