Here's an update for the Port Demurrage Invoice Portal in the United States

In line with our 2023 Strategy to be the Number One Carrier for Quality and our Core Values of We Care, We Move, and We Deliver, we have transitioned our demurrage invoicing process for the United States to be completely online.

Effective January 17, 2022, for terminals where Hapag-Lloyd invoices and collects demurrage, you may request your demurrage invoices by visiting our website Demurrage Invoice Portal

In order to receive the fastest release, please submit your payment via PayCargo and allow 2-4 business hours for processing. If submitting via another channel, please allow a minimum of 24 hours for the funds to be transferred.

Please monitor terminal websites directly for container release status.

For the following ports, Hapag-Lloyd line demurrage is paid directly to Hapag-Lloyd via the portal:

  • Norfolk
  • Wilmington
  • Charleston
  • Savannah
  • Jacksonville
  • New Orleans
  • Houston

For the following ports, terminal storage is paid direct to the terminal and Hapag-Lloyd line demurrage is paid direct to Hapag-Lloyd via the portal:

  • Baltimore
  • Port Everglades
  • Miami
  • Mobile

The below list of ports and terminals, collect port demurrage directly and therefore are not included in the portal. For your reference, the respective terminal links to check container status and pay any outstanding demurrage and/or storage can be found below:

If you should require additional information, please contact our customer service team at your location, who will guide you based on your individual situation.
