Yemen: Here’s an update on feeder services and booking acceptance

Due to the ongoing regional situation and the resulting suspension of feeder services to Aden, Yemen, Hapag-Lloyd is currently unable to provide a reliable onward connection for cargo destined for Aden.

For shipments already booked or currently in transit, the following alternatives are available, subject to the applicable requirements:

  • Change of Destination (COD): Cargo may be redirected to an alternative Upper Gulf destination, subject to operational feasibility and applicable charges.
  • Cargo discharged in Jeddah: For cargo already discharged in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, customers may consider terminating the shipment and clearing the cargo in Jeddah, subject to applicable customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Return to origin: Cargo may be returned to its origin, subject to operational feasibility and applicable costs.

Please contact your local Customer Service team to coordinate the available alternatives for cargo that is already booked or in transit.

New bookings to Aden, Yemen, are suspended until further notice.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates when the operating environment permits the resumption of feeder services to Aden.
