Ukraine: Temporary Suspension of Feeder Calls to Odesa Region Ports

Liner Services Europe Ukraine

Due to the continued deterioration of the security situation in the Odesa region, feeder operators have temporarily suspended vessel calls to the Ukrainian Black Sea ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa and Pivdennyi until further notice.

As feeder connections to these ports are currently not available, cargo originally planned for Ukrainian Black Sea port destinations may need to be discharged at an alternative location, subject to operational feasibility and the applicable safety and security assessments.

In accordance with the applicable Bill of Lading terms and conditions, including Clause 17, "Matters Affecting Performance", Hapag-Lloyd continues to assess and implement operational alternatives to safeguard cargo and mitigate further disruption.

Reni, Ukraine (UARNI), is currently being evaluated as the preferred alternative discharge option for affected Ukraine-bound cargo where feasible. Hapag-Lloyd may contact customers directly to align on the required instructions for a change of destination to Reni.

Where Reni is not feasible from an operational or commercial perspective, alternative options may include a change of destination to Romania or Poland, to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on the shipment specifics and customer instructions.

Any additional costs arising from storage, onward carriage, change of destination or other necessary operational arrangements will be for the account of the cargo interests in accordance with the applicable Bill of Lading terms and conditions.

For further information on the available options and applicable charges, please contact your local Hapag-Lloyd representative.
