Venezuela - Information about US sanctions

The US President has issued Executive Order 13884 (“Blocking Property of the Government of Venezuela”) on August 5, 2019, essentially making it unlawful to trade with the Government of Venezuela or any of its agencies. For more information regarding Venezuela sanctions, please click here to visit the U.S. Department of the Treasury website.

To be in full compliance with the new regulation we require the following when shipping to Venezuela:

A completed Shipping Instruction must be received 48 hours prior to cargo cut-off.

The Shipping Instruction must contain the following:

  • Shipper name
  • Consignee name (no TO ORDER and foreign consignee accepted)
  • Notify Party name
  • Full commodity/cargo description
  • Tax ID
  • Phone and email contact

No changes will be accepted to the Shipping Instruction after submission. Please note that cargo will not be loaded if these requirements are not met. These requirements became effective September 16, 2019 and remain in effect until further notice.
