Taiwan – Revision of Export Detention & Demurrage Tariff

We would like to inform you that with immediate effect from April 15, 2021 Hapag-Lloyd will revise the Export Demurrage Tariff as follows:

Remarks:

1) Counting: Calendar days (Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays are fully countable) and subject to 5% Sale Tax.

2) Special containers are Open Top, Hard Top, and Flat Rack

3) Export detention Calculation:

Free time shall commence from the first midnight following shipper or his agent removes containers from carrier CY (gate out empty) to laden return to carrier CY.

4) Export demurrage Calculation:

Free time shall commence after the stuffed container is returned to carrier’s CY to vessel cut-off day at carrier’s CY.

5) North America/Latin America: Effective date based on the last container Gate In Full/GIFU date at the origin

EU/IRT: Effective date based on Booking Confirmation estimate on board date.
