Yantian Import Cargo Arrangement

We would like to give you an update on the current situation of Yantian import shipment. At present the Operation at Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) is still being disrupted due to the COVID-19 implications. In order to limit the impact and ensure business continuity Hapag-Lloyd has been temporarily adjusting the vessel schedule to Yantian port. As a result, some import containers for Yantian discharge have to be diverted to alternative ports such as Nansha and Hongkong.

Given the above situation, we can offer the following options related to your import shipment to Yantian:

  1. Accept delivery at current port of discharge if situation allows or,
  2. Divert your containers to other Pearl River Delta (PRD) ports for CY delivery or,
  3. Waiting for on-carriage to Yantian at the transshipment port.
  4. In case we don’t receive any instruction from you, Hapag-Lloyd is reserved the right to take necessary arrangement.

Please note that all additional costs, risks and liabilities related to the storage or movement of the cargo after discharge will be for the account of the cargo owner. We kindly ask you to provide us with written confirmation of your preferred choice for taking delivery of the cargo at your earliest convenience in order for us to initiate the necessary arrangements.

We regret the inconvenience that these circumstances, which is beyond Hapag-Lloyd’s control, may cause and the terms of this notice shall be read in conjunction with and without prejudice to Hapag-Lloyd’s Bill of Lading / Sea Waybill terms and conditions and the Hapag-Lloyd tariff applicable thereto.
