Welcome to Hapag Lloyd’s Detention & Demurrage Calculator. This intuitive application allows you to calculate the free days related to your shipment or do a cost estimation if you select a specific date. This information depends on the equipment gate-in/gate-out event creation and offers an overview to support your daily work.

Access the D&D Calculator through the direct link provided in your email or access it through the navigation bar on the left hand side.
Use your Hapag-Lloyd credentials to log in.
1. Insert the shipment to calculate
Insert the Booking Number of the shipment you would like to calculate the freetime or costs associated to a specific date for.
2. Start the Calculations
You will see some details of the shipment.
You will find the containers related to the shipment, and the option to select one, some or all of them. You will find the options to specify a date to evaluate the costs or the free days.
After that, just accept the Terms and Conditions and do the calculation.
3. Confirmation
After the calculation you will see the confirmation screen and can proceed.
4. Results via Email
After a few minutes you will receive the information requested via email.
The D&D Calculator is available to customers with an activated Hapag-Lloyd web login. Web user should be linked to the shipment as a Party Function role. Some examples Shipper, Consignee, Notify Party, Agreement Party etc.
Freetime and demurrage and detention costs are calculated based on a customer-provided tentative gate-out or empty gate-in date.
In separate demurrage and detention calculations, demurrage and detention costs are charged separately. Combined calculations are merged demurrage and detention costs.
