Hapag-Lloyd Strengthens China Organization

China remains one of Hapag-Lloyd’s most important markets, where we are dedicated to growing with our customers and striving to provide a high level of quality in our service to customers.

To further improve the consistency and reliability of our services across China, we will enhance our China organizational set-up as follows:

  • Hapag-Lloyd’s current Sales organizations in Mainland China, China/Hong Kong and China/Taiwan will be merged into one combined Area China Sales organization, headquartered in Shanghai, under the leadership of Managing Director Guillermo Ginesta.
  • Simultaneously Hapag-Lloyd will create a Business Service Center in Suzhou which will handle all non-customer facing tasks within Customer Service, Operations and Finance, under the leadership of Managing Director Juliana See.

Customer facing functions in Sales and Customer Service will remain in place at every Hapag-Lloyd office in Mainland China, China/Hong Kong and China/Taiwan to directly and timely address customers’ needs and requirements.

Through this enhanced and customer centric set-up, we are confident that Hapag-Lloyd will provide you with an even better experience of our trademark quality service.

The changes will be implemented step-wise from August 2018 until December 2018, during which period we will keep you concurrently updated of further development.
