Algeria - Congestion Surcharge at Bejaia

We would like to inform you that our operations in Bejaia (Algeria) are suffering from increased delays due to current port congestion.

Given these circumstances, Hapag-Lloyd will implement a Congestion Surcharge (CGD) on all import shipments to Bejaia, effective as from August 15, 2019 as follows:

  • USD 100/TEU for all trades

Once an improvement of the situation in Bejaia is evident, we will consider waiving or mitigating above mentioned surcharge in due course.
