Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania - Port Congestion

Due to ongoing congestion, current waiting times for berth at the Tanzania International Container Terminal in Dar-es-Salaam are between 16 to 19 days. These operational delays heavily affect our EAS2 Service.

In order to overcome this challenge and to minimize the negative effect on all of our customers using this service, we are continuously evaluating the situation and taking schedule integrity measures for each vessel approaching Tanzania International Container Terminal.

We continue to work on long term solutions to provide more stability and service reliability for you to manage your supply chains through Dar-es-Saalam.

We regret any inconvenience and delays due to this situation which is beyond Hapag-Lloyd’s control.
