As a follow up to our CustomerNEWS published on September 15, 2020 regarding the Government of India e-Invoicing guidelines, the provisions pertaining to e-invoicing under the GST Law are applicable to Hapag-Lloyd AG.
Accordingly, starting October 1,2020, we shall be issuing a tax invoice containing the Invoice Reference Number (IRN) and Quick Response (‘QR’) code.
However, to mitigate any possible risk of business disruption arising out of breakage of systems, technical errors, downtime etc., we will continue to send you our commercial invoices as per the current process until the new process stabilizes.
If for any reason the Invoice Registration Portal (‘IRP’) setup under the NIC System does not generate such IRN and QR code in time due to breakage of systems, technical errors, downtime etc., we will forward the tax invoice containing the requisite IRN and QR code separately.
We shall endeavor to provide the proper tax invoice at the earliest and assure you of our full cooperation in this regard.
