Fee for Dangerous Goods Misdeclaration

To ensure the safety of our crew, ships and customer cargo onboard, please note that for purposely undeclared or misdeclared hazardous cargoes, we will implement a fee of USD 15,000.00 per container globally, effective as from November 15, 2020.

Notwithstanding, Hapag-Lloyd holds the Shipper liable and responsible for all costs and consequences related to violations, fines, damages, incidents, claims and corrective measures resulting from cases of undeclared or misdeclared dangerous cargoes.

The fee will only apply and will only be enforced in the event of purposely non- or misdeclared dangerous cargoes.
